Aporo: Irish Philosophical Research Group

Who We Are

Aporo is a research group dedicated to the core problems within the areas of epistemology, metaphysics and the philosophies of language, logic and mind. It is based in Dublin, through a co-operation between the philosophy departments at Queens University Belfast (QUB), Trinity College Dublin (TCD) and University College Dublin (UCD). Its aim is to foster collaborative philosophical projects within its stated interests, and to provide an environment for philosophical research, among staff members as well as younger (postgraduate and postdoctoral) researchers.

Aims

To foster collaborative research programmes
To organise conferences, workshops and reading groups
To support research projects in core areas of analytic philosophy
To act as a conduit for establishing links with other research centres
